Welcome to Ford's Farmstead! We are Ken and Laura Ford. We live on a small acreage just south of Stettler, AB with our two kids and small zoo of various animals we love. Our dream as a couple has always been to live in the country, grow our own food, and raise animals. Our kids love being outside and around the animals and we love to garden and cook together. Since the beginning of our marriage, we have dreamed of starting a market garden. We weren't quite sure where to start but early this year the idea for Ford's Farmstead was planted.
We knew we couldn't grow every product ourselves that we wished to offer our customers so out of that dilemma, Ford's Farmstead was born. It provided a way for us to start supplying quality fresh produce to our community of Stettler and start slowly on our dream of a market garden at the same time!
This past Summer we planted 750 strawberry plants, a small patch of garlic, and raised a group of energetic pigs! We have pulled our share of weeds on our hands and knees, chased goats back into their pens countless times, and enjoyed meeting so many new people at the Farmer's Markets!
Providing you with fresh quality products is our passion and we are so happy to serve each and every customer we've had the pleasure to meet! We deliver every week to our customers' doorsteps and also now have products at Sweet Home on Main in Stettler, AB. Check our online store often for new products and the freshest ingredients! Depending on the time of the year we carry a wide variety of products and hope to continue to expand what we are able to offer you!
